Travel Partner Suisse AG launches in Switzerland
Die Travel Partner Group is expanding its presence in the Swiss market

The Travel Partner Group, Austria’s largest independent incoming agency, is expanding its presence in the Swiss market and has founded Travel Partner Suisse AG, headquartered in Aadorf in the canton of Thurgau. With this expansion, the first milestones of the planned growth strategy in Central and Eastern Europe are being set. The Swiss entity has been operating since November 1, 2025, and focuses its offering on individual and group travel, thereby creating local proximity for its Swiss suppliers.
Travel Partner looks back on a strong anniversary year: Now active across Central Europe, the company is celebrating its 40th anniversary with revenue growth of around 40 percent, reaching approximately 60 million euros. Driven by a technology offensive, Travel Partner today connects hotel offerings with more than 500 international tour operators in both the FIT and group segments, as well as with online, TV, and supermarket platforms. The company is now accelerating its expansion in Switzerland, supported by the longstanding expertise of tourism manager Matthias Huwiler.
Switzerland: An important source market
“Switzerland is an important first step in our continued growth trajectory in Central and Eastern Europe,” emphasizes Michael Poot, CEO of the Travel Partner Group. He adds: “Swiss hotel and service partners benefit from our short processes, local support, and fast turnaround times for our distribution partners.” With the establishment of Travel Partner Suisse AG, the Travel Partner Group is strengthening its presence in one of the most important Central European source markets for travel to the Alpine region and expanding its portfolio—both in winter and summer tourism. “Thanks to its central location, excellent connectivity, and the high attractiveness of Swiss destinations, we can efficiently bundle tailor-made Alpine trips as well as extensive European round trips. In addition, Switzerland is an ideal starting point for European travel for visitors from Asian and English-speaking markets,” explains Poot.
Swiss team with local expertise
For the leadership trio in Aadorf, the Travel Partner Group relies on local expertise and long-established market relationships. Swiss tourism manager Matthias Huwiler takes on a central role as a member of the Board of Directors of the new company. With more than 20 years of industry experience—including management positions at TUI Suisse and the FTI Group—he brings deep market knowledge and a strong partner network within Switzerland. At launch, two employees are working on-site: Karin Bachmann as Director and Kinga Rudek as Hotel Buyer. Both previously worked for the Swiss company Hotelplan Suisse and bring valuable expertise to the new organization thanks to their solid market knowledge and strong industry connections. Together with Matthias Huwiler, Karin Bachmann is responsible for the operational management of the Aadorf office and contributes many years of experience in the Swiss travel market.
